From my free video on 16 Books Every Leader Must Read...

Book #1.   Psycho-Cybernetics by Dr Maxwell Maltz.

This book offers an excellent insight on how to understand people (and yourself) better. I first came across this book in my parents’ library when I was 17 years old. I have to admit I was a bit skeptical when I first picked it up, but I decided to give it a go. And boy am I glad I did!

The book totally transformed my view of the world, my understanding of human psychology and the nature of self-esteem. Using one of the techniques in the book I even managed to stop cracking my fingers at age 17, which was a habit I hadn’t been able to stop doing back then. I haven’t felt the urge to crack my fingers since then.

Through the book I also discovered how to tie a perfect bow on my shoe laces, something that had eluded me up until that point, not to mention several other real life-changing elements found throughout the book.

Such is the impact of this book that I’ve read it once a year for the past 30 years.
