A very powerful book! The power and effect of music on how our brains function. For someone like me who uses music as an important part of my leadership development masterclass, this book is highly recommended.
It’s written in a very warm, friendly style with some smatterings of neuro-science without the technical jargon.
In his younger days, Daniel was in a series of music bands and worked as a record producer. In his 30s he went back to school and graduated with degrees in cognitive psychology and cognitive science, including a Ph.D.
With this unique background of being a musician, record producer and neuroscientist he’s uniquely placed to write about the subject.
He’s worked with a wide range of musicians including Stevie Wonder, Joni Mitchell, Sting and Steely Dan, to mention just a few.
